Partner Visa

The Partner visa is a popular pathway for non-Australians to live in Australia permanently with their spouse or de facto partner.

The process involves two stages, starting with a combined application for both a temporary and permanent visa.

Initially, a temporary visa is granted, and after two years, you can apply for permanent residency by proving your ongoing relationship.

The available visa subclasses include the Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300) for those intending to marry, the Partner visa (subclass 309/100) for offshore applications, and the Partner visa (subclass 820/801) for onshore applications.

Each option allows you to reunite with your partner and begin your journey toward permanent residency.

  • Rights to Live, Study or Work in Australia Permanently
  • The ability to sponsor eligible family members to live in Australia
  • The potential to apply for Australian citizenship
